On our side of heaven begins a place named Rainbow Bridge.

If an animal dies that was deeply bound to a human this animal enters the splendid colorful Rainbow Bridge and is awaited by a paradise on the other side of heaven:

Pastures, mountains, valleys, woods -
Everything for all our beloved fellows; there they will find the right surroundings.
Free from care they run and play together, without worries and sorrows.
In joyful anticipation of food, water and plenty of sunshine our beloved friends feel warm, safe and secure.

Every animal that leaves our side gets back its youth, strength and health. The injured and mutilated animals regenerate - as they were in our memories deeply buried in our hearts.

Content and happy they are - with one exception:
Every one of them misses someone - the one human it left behind.

And while they romp and play together day after day one of them lingers stops and looks into distance. Its body trembles, the shiny eyes vigilant. It leaves the others in the group behind, quickly hasting over the meadows.

He has discovered YOU
and after your joyful reunion both of you know that nothing will separate you again. Happily you kiss, run you fingers through its hair. Again you look into those eyes, so long separated from you but never far away from your heart.

And finally you cross the Rainbow Bridge.
